exceptional c. 1850's original multi-faceted aqua ten sided soda bottle with iron pontiled base and applied blob top. one side of the glass is embossed vertically “w. wilke & co / cin o”. the base has a high domed kickup and retains a heavy circular residue from manufacture with iron pontil. the body has a long tapered neck and sloping shoulders featuring a highly unusual design element of a protruding nub on each of the ten sides. crudities typical of its age and date of manufacture include whittling in the finish and allover seeding, bubbles, and straw marks.
