distinctive c. 1940's american vintage industrial mobile "small parts" upright storage cabinet fabricated in part by lyon metal products inc., aurora, il. the mobile chicago plumbing parts supply store cabinet contains a custom heavily compartmentalized module consisting of sliding drawers with pulls or handles made of "found parts." the cabinet itself, is comprised of folded and pressed cold-rolled sheet steel that has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the black bassick swivel casters are original and fully functional. the bottom contains a partially enclosed spacious compartment with an open front. the wood drawers have been sanded and sealed. the cabinet is structurally sound and stable. measures 23 x 13 1/2 x 33 5/8 inches.
