original and intact american industrial solid cast bronze metal surface-mount dead bolt removed from the inner doors of a walk-in safe or vault. the nicely aged dead lock contains a uniquely designed "swirl" motif or field pattern within the lightly recessed region on the face of the lock. the original stamped steel flat key engages the bolt with ease. salvaged from a chicago area mansion. the dead bolt was fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. measures approximately 4 1/2 x 3/4 x 3/14 inches.
