two matching remarkable late 1920's american art deco style brass-plated cast iron interior greyhound lines station ornamental panels

set of identical all original late 1920's american art deco machine age brass-plated ornamented cast iron plaques purportedly salvaged from an old greyhound lines bus station. the exact fabricator is not known. each pierced metal panel or plaque contains a centrally located and encircled outstretched or leaping greyhound surrounded by intricate leafage. the region below the concentric circles contains clusters of curvaceous plant forms, rosettes and a dazzling zig-zag design motif. the brass-plated finish remains largely intact. the grates or plaques were originally mounted in a freestanding manner, with a rear flange containing multiple screw holes. measure 11 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches. priced for the pair.
