set of original and fully functional heavy duty early 20th century antique american industrial freestanding freight elevator doors designed and fabricated by or for the variety mfg. co., chicago, ills. the reinforced solid steel interlocking doors were salvaged from a chicago factory building located in the fulton market district. one of the two doors retains the original diminutive portal with intact chicken wire glass. the robust elevator doors have a nicely aged surface patina throughput. pried for the pair.
