early 1920's original and well-built american antique industrial oversized pipe fitter's tool chest or cabinet with a nicely distressed orange and gray painted finish throughout. the hinged cabinet top contains a centrally located lockable steel hasp and two steel butts or hinges. the front section features matching sliding or pull-out drawers with original pressed steel "cup" handles. the spacious interior retains the original removable compartmentalized tool tray or tote comprised of wood. the oversized painted wood chest has been lightly cleaned. exact fabricator unknown. salvaged from the basement of a turn of the century chicago plumbing parts warehouse and factory. measures 30 x 18 x 22 1/2 inches.
