original and hard to find 1880's antique american interior vestibule door salvaged from a chicago gold coast residence built around 1887. the oversized solid oak wood door retains the original finish. the bottom contains surface wear that can easily be refinished for greater uniformity. the existing patina exhibits a nicely aged "alligator" surface crazing throughout. each and every clear glass pane contained beveled edges. the raised panel configuration is consistent with doors fabricated during this time period. the antique american victorian era door is structurally sound and stable throughout.
