small assortment of late 19th or early 20th century heavy plate glass chicago athletic club building mailbox door beveled edge insets

all original diminutive heavy plate glass post office box door "viewing" insets salvaged from the chicago athletic association building constructed in 1892-93. the fanciful beveled edge glass panes are in good condition, considering age. sadly, only one glass inset retains the original stenciled paint numbers. the others were either removed or worn off over time. the asking price reflects the lot depicted in the image. the non-product image shows the mailbox "system" in situ. the panels made available were removed from a stackable unit no longer in use or discarded years ago. likely fabricated by or for the cutler mail chute co., rochester, ny. each one measures approximately 3 x 4 inches.
