very clean and lightweight original c. 1930's antique american industrial stationary chicago public school classroom desk chairs designed and fabricated by the american seating company, grand rapids, mich. the uniquely shaped clean and simple chairs are comprised largely of pressed and folded heavy gauge steel with welded joints. the curvaceous wood seat and matching backrest have been sanded and refinished. the rigid metal frames have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a total of six matching chairs are available. priced individually. measures 18x16x30 1/2 inches seat height 17 inches
