matching late 19th or early 20th century highly sought after "ceylon" pattern interior residential passage doorknob and escutcheon salvaged from a chicago residence shortly before demolition. the popular eastlake style hardware was designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin hardware co., new britain, ct. the matching rectangular-shaped backplate with intact thimble and dome-shaped doorknob are comprised of wrought brass. several sets (in various configurations) were salvaged from the chicago residence. nicely aged surface patina left untouched. priced for the set. the escutcheon measures approximately 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
