with the exception of the later top-floor addition and missing pressed metal cornice (the building was heavily modified in 1945), the plymouth court elevation retains the original 1899 design.
eisendrath worked as a draftsman in adler and sullivan's firm, but i can't recall the years off hand. he did other buildings in chicago too, including a sullivanesque style apartment building in lincoln park west. prior to plymouth, he designed the historic queen anne style franklin or adams house (1892) located in deadwood, sd.
