pair of original and robust closely matching yellow-painted (retouched for added uniformity) heavy gauge steel chicago foundry sawhorses. the two welded joint supports or bases were clearly custom-built at the foundry, likely in one of many machine shops. the sawhorses are very crude in appearance and assembly, but are very solidly constructed and designed to hold a substantial amount of weight. a similar pair from the same chicago foundry are available. priced for the set. measures 31 1/2 x 22 1/2 x 32 inches.
