very unique and unusual antique american industrial stationary tubular steel factory office adding machine base possibly fabricated by or for the burroughs corp., todo co. div., rochester, ny. the low-lying diminutive workstation contains a multitude of bolted stretchers and/or cross-bracing for added support and stability. the newly added tabletop and matching undershelf are comprised of old growth pine wood recycled from demolished building floor joists. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a cleat coat lacquer to prevent rust accumulation. measures 17 1/2 x 18 x 27 1/2 inches.
