very robust antique american industrial repurposed cast iron display stand or high table with an early 20th century intact riveting machine base designed and fabricated by the baird pneumatic tool co., kansas city, mo. the newly added tabletop consists of c. 1940's recycled oak wood flooring once used in an american railroad boxcar. the repurposed stand or workstation has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the pedestal type machine base contains multiple open-ended compartments for additional storage. the solid oak wood tabletop has been completely refinished. top measures 23 7/8 x 16 6/8 inches. base measures 13 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches. height measures 42 1/2 inches.
