fully functional american industrial freestanding cast iron and steel reading or floor lamp comprised of early 20th century boylston steam works factory fittings. the wired lamp has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the base contains the boyston name in embossed lettering. the threaded end steel pipe lamp contains a single drop lamp with white porcelain socket and early matthew's patent light bulb guard with coiled spring. the braided rayon cloth cord and plug are period appropriate. great overall condition.
