single original american industrial depression era brushed pressed and folded steel "pry-proof" four-door interior commercial building mailbox unit designed and fabricated by the florence mfg. co., chicago, ills. the four-door mailbox was salvaged from a chicago commercial building undergoing demolition. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the perforated doors contains perforations, locks, and name placard holders. the push buttons along the bottom served as door bells or buzzers for the corresponding units.
