completely intact and fully functional c. 1930's american depression era art deco machine age portable banker's desk lamp possibly designed and fabricated by the king mfg. co., st. joseph, mo. the lamp contains a weighted base with a stepped or multi-tier cover plate. the upright arm has a deeply grooved or fluted tubular post comprised of brass. the adjustable cylindrical-shaped shade is equipped with a single concealed pull-chain socket. the lamp has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat sealant. measures 9 1/2 x 8 x 11 1/2 inches.
