refinished c. 1920's oversized antique american industrial sheet steel punch and/or punch machine pedestal base with newly added mahogany wood tabletop

late 1920's original heavy duty freestanding cast iron antique american industrial sheet steel punch and/or press machine pedestal base possibly fabricated by the grand rapids machine co., grand rapids, mi. the slightly flared stationary cast iron base with a flared flange bottom has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. an opening at the bottom is where the original foot pedal was located. the newly added beveled edge square-shaped tabletop with recessed apron, is comprised of solid mahogany wood with a stained and sealed finish. measures 21 3/4 x 21 3/4 x 31 1/2 inches.
