original early 1920's freestanding american antique medical hospital examination room supply station or side table designed and fabricated by the frank s. betz co., hammond, ind. the work station is supported by four matching straight tubular steel legs free from bends or breaks. the cabinet contains a single sliding drawer with yellow brass diminutive knob pull. the detachable three-sided rail guard is supported by bent metal brackets fastened together with screws. the undershelf is comprised of pressed and folded furniture sheet steel. the stationary medical furniture piece has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cabinet was salvaged from an old asylum in ohio. 18 inchesx 13 1/4 inches x 32 1/4 inches.
