original c. 1920's american antique industrial oversized pressed and folded steel self-contained shelving unit possibly fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the reinforced shelf display unit contains four equally-spaced cold-rolled steel shelves riveted firmly against the side panels or uprights. each angled shelf is equipped with a single metal stretcher to prevent spillage of contents being displayed. the topmost tier contains a three-sided rail guard. the large general store shelving unit has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. 44 inches x 7 inches x 48 inches.
