original late 19th century antique american ornamental cast iron salvaged chicago fireplace surround designed and fabricated by the dawson brothers, chicago ills. the victorian-era surround contains two opposed fluted columns supporting a protruding hood. the copper metallic finish is mostly uniform throughout. 30 1/2 inches wide and 30 1/2 inches tall. The opening is 25 1/2 inches wide and 25 inches tall.
