original and well-maintained stanford white oversized book outlining his career as famed architect. the rare book is 17" x 12". vi+33+(1) pages + 56 full-page plates, printed rectos only; full-color frontispiece with tissue guard, 16 b/w text illustrations; list of works of mckim, mead & white, in which stanford white took a leading part; work by stanford white in collaboration with sculptors and painters. original brown cloth, gilt stamped leather spine and cover labels, top-edge gilt, title-page printed in red and black, near very good condition (spine labelintact, extremities lightly rubbed, some light thumbing to edges of plates).
