single antique privy dug c. 1880's original blue aqua glass hutchinson blobtop fabricated for donat & motis. the typical hutchinison shaped body is finished with a squat neck and intact applied oval blobtop that features some whittling or stretch marks. the front body is embossed "donat & motis / 576 w 19th st / chicago, ill". on the reverse heel, the maker's mark is embossed, "g.a.b.", likely indicating it was fabricated by george a. berry in pittsburgh, pa. the base is smooth with central embossing "d & m". seams are worn but evidence manufacture in a cup bottom mold. the bottle retains a remnant of the original stopper. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, and wear, haze or discoloration are typical of being dug. measures 6 3/4 inches high.
