rare hardbound "sketches and drawings by stanford white."

rare book, entitled "sketches and drawings by stanford white." while i'm interested in his work to some degree, i'm much more intrigued by his "secret lair," that was located above the f.a.o. schwartz toy store, where he indulged in all sorts of sexual fantasies.

sadly, no images exist of the dark and exotically furnished rooms, including the high ceiling room with THE SWING.

the hardbound folio contains over 50 richly illustrated full-page plates including many works of mckim, mead & white, collaborations with sculptors and painters and images of his house (i've included the drawing and picture room).

the book was published in 1920 by architectural book publishing co., paul wenzel and maurice krakow, new york.
