rare and intact early 1850's iron-pontiled applied tapred lip mineral or soda water bottle manufactured for joseph kennedy in pittsburgh, pennsylvania

original lightly cleaned or tumbled intact c. 1850's pontiled deep blue aqua mineral water bottle manufactured for joseph kennedy in pittsburgh, pennsylvania. the soda shaped glass has low tapering shoulders and a long narrow neck finished with an applied collar that exhibits significant slop. the front body is embossed "j.kennedy/mineral water/ pittsburg" (note spelling without an 'h') with slight casewear. at its base is a moderate kickup with little to no residue from the iron pontil. the bottle features large bubbles, allover seeding, and a crude finish, evidencing its age and date of manufacture. there is a spot of discoloration in the neck. the bottle has been cleaned (i.e. tumbled) so appears clean and without haze.
