original and amazingly intact early 20th century oversized hand-painted wood "armour laboratories" exterior building sign with bold black lettering. the sign was acquired from the estate of a prominent chicago sign collector. the hand-painted lettering and sold white background show wear consistent with age. the long and narrow sign retains the original mouting holed on each end. the armour and company sign is structurally sound and stable.
