hard to find intact and original c.1870's western blue aqua pony style bottle manufactured for san francisco bottler c.a. reiners & co. the front body features a central logo of a half moon with three stars surrounded by heavy embossing reading, "improved / trade mark / mineral water". on the reverse is the bottler's name and address, "c.a. reiners & co. / 723 / turk st / s.f.". the handblown glass is smooth and slightly concave at the base, with seams evidencing use of a two leaf mold. an 1876 municipal report of c.a. reiners & company' property lists in their possession $800 in soda founts, $200 in horses, and $300 in wagons.
