pair of original late 19th century american ornamental cast bronze richardsonian romanesque style interior staircase newel post finial caps attributed to the mccoy bronze company inc., detroit, mi. the architectural building artifacts were salvaged from a detroit commercial building demolished in the 1960's. the newel post caps contain lightly embossed outstretched acanthus leaves. the slightly tapered underside features an egg & dart pattern cast in deep relief. the caps measures 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 3 inches. priced for the pair.
