two matching vintage american industrial pressed and folded steel factory machine shop stools designed and fabricated by the lyon metal products company, aurora, ills. the refinished brushed metal stools with welded joint angled steel legs are structurally sound and stable. the robust metal stools were salvaged from the zim mfg. company factory. founded in 1919, the zim manufacturing company specialized in the manufacture of automobile specialty tools and gauges, housewares, and other hand tools. the extant factory is located on the far west side of chicago. several stools were salvaged from the zim factory. the stools have been treated with a clear coat finish. priced for the pair.
