lot of seldom found all original and perfectly intact c. 1881-1886 antique american eastlake style ornamental cast bronze oversized pocket or sliding door escutcheons designed and fabricated by the nashua lock company, nashua, nh. the matching pocket door escutcheons were salvaged from two sliding pocket doors that had been covered over in the 1960's. the surface patina is remarkable with the original baked black enameled inlay intact. the oversized aesthetic movement "real bronze" backplates are cast in two pieces. the deeply recessed cups are free from paint, etc. a total of three sets of pocket doors were salvaged from a three-flat chicago residence constructed in the early 1880's. the house is currently being prepared for demolition. the pocket door hangers and the doors are listed as well. priced for the lot of four. twelve matching backplates with decorative mortise locks available.
