one of four matching original and intact c. 1895-1905 antique american ornamental cast bronze oversized "push" plate designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the highly desirable long and narrow solid bronze metal flush mount back plate was salvaged from one of many entrance doors belonging to a downtown cleveland building (non-extant). the door pulls fashioned in the same pattern are available as well, with a total of four matching handles. the pull handles and backplates are much darker or heavily oxidized from prolonged exposure to the elements. this listing is for one push plate. the top and bottom contains a perforated design with opposed screw holes located in the corners. the nicely aged surface patina has not been cleaned. measures 15 x 3 1/4 x 1/4 inches.
