original "roaring twenties" largely intact american art deco style ornamental cast brass interior chicago apartment building "speak-a-view" combination peephole door and plaque that originally contained a doorknocker, name and/or apartment number and a circular opening for two-way viewing. the decorative door hardware may have contained a nickel or chrome plated finish that has since worn off (few traces remain). the swinging knocker is missing. the hinged door peephole cover remains in great condition. the highly stylized art deco designed motifs are found throughout. priced for both hardware pieces. designed and fabricated by the hoover howe products co., chicago, il. peephole measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter, plate measures 3 x 6 1/2 inches
