late 1930's american industrial freestanding four-legged stationary "simmons" oversized side table and/or cabinet designed and fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wisc. the cold-rolled furniture sheet steel cabinet contains a single sliding drawer and hinged swing-out cabinet door with the original stamped steel knobs or handles intact. the storage cabinet has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the spindled legs are in great overall condition. salvaged from a chicago area hospital. measures 16 x 20 x 34
