remarkable and intact pair of c. 1926 dunham building varnished wood corbels salvaged from the building's penthouse, prior to demolition. the matching interior corbels or brackets retain the original polychrome hand-painted floral design motifs located on either side of the corbel. the eight and one half story building was erected for the c.a. dunham building, makers of heating apparatus. the architect was d.h. burnham & co., chicago. the dunham was considered one of the finest neoclassical style buildings in its day. each varnished oak wood corbel measures 16 x 11 x 12 inches. priced for the pair.
