late 19th or early 20th century antique american industrial massive cast iron rimmed flywheel or pulley likely used on steam engine or motor-driven factory machine. the uniquely -designed oversized wheel is comprised of iron with a mostly uniform brushed finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the industrial wheel or gear contains a centrally located hub with flared-end spokes. surface wear and discoloration evident. only one available. the exact fabricator is not known. measures approximately 32 inches in diameter and 7 inches wide.
