original late 19th century interior three-sided crimped steel square mesh bank teller cage with ornamental cast iron plaque

very unique c. 1880's original antique american victorian era interior bank building three-sided teller cage comprised largely of crimped wire and channel iron. the three interconnected panels contain a flat panel "no. 12" square mesh configuration. the highly detailed cast iron anthemion finials are original and intact. the small transaction and/or exchange window is surrounded by a very elaborately designed cast iron plaque featuring prominently displayed manufacturer markings. the u-shaped bank railing was fabricated by the barbee wire & iron works, chicago, il. brushed metal finish with some traces of original metallic gold paint. measures 32 x 21 x 17 1/2 inches. salvaged from a bank building in ohio.
