group of original salvaged williman w. kimball residence roofline cresting cast iron fragments rescued during an exterior restoration involving the replacement of the entire windows' walk or cresting (see images) done sometime in the 1980s. the exact fabricator is not known. the prairie avenue district kimball mansion was designed by architect solomon s. beman in 1890-92 for william wallace kimball. the chateauesque style mansion is bedecked with several bedford limestone turrets, hand-carved door surround and gable. the original fragments show wear consistent with age. priced for the lot.
