two matching highly detailed antique ornamental cast brass "marquise" pattern interior residential oval-shaped pocket or sliding door backplates or escutcheons designed and fabricated by the norwalk lock company, norwalk, conn. the french renaissance style recessed "cup" handles or pulls contain a mostly uniform darkened surface finish. the antique backplates were salvaged from a milwaukee "foursquare" style residence demolished earlier this year. a whole "suite" of marquise pattern hard was recovered from this home prior to demolition. see other listings. priced for the pair. the recessed regions do not contain the single keyhole openings. each one measures approximately 2 1/2 x 11 inches.
