c. 1900's antique american wrought brass banded rim "cairo" pattern doorknob manufactured by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. a highly stylized six-fold floral motif surrounds a centrally located rosette with beaded border. nicely aged surface patina evident. a blackened encrustation or residue has developed within the recessed regions. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter. two matching doorknobs available.
