early 20th century antique american ornamental cast bronze interior office or administrative building "pbs" monogrammed doorknob. features a typical banded edge or stepped and/or graduating rings surrounding the fanciful lettering. naturally aged surface patina. some oxidation found within the recesses of the lettering. likely fabricated by the sargent hardware co., new haven, ct. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
