nicely aged original and intact early 20th century antique american ornamental cast brass commercial or institutional building emblematic style doorknob likely fabricated by the sargent hardware company, new haven, ct. the distinctive doorknob contains the word "century" at the very center. the surrounded rim consists of a simple bead and real design motif. the doorknob has a mostly uniform dark surface patina. measures 2 inches in diameter.
