single all original antique american flush mount art deco style slip shade wall sconce designed and fabricated by virden or possibly markel electric products. the depression era fixture retains the original socket affixed to an ornamental cast iron shade fitter. the highly stylized fixture contains a striking ziggurat profile pressed glass slip shade with chevrons, scales and a "crazy quilt" motif. the single electric art deco wall sconce measures 11 x 6 inches.
