refinished antique american depression era utilitarian freestanding c. 1930's chicago clothing department store clothing or garment hanging rack designed, patented and manufactured by the levine & solomon company, new york city, ny. the all original and intact american bent tubular steel garment rack has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the reinforced rack was patented in april of 1930 and placed into production soon after. the two opposed cast iron bases containing the steel fork swivel casters contain the manufacturer, along wit patent dates, etc. the pipe fitting are strong and secure. very simply, yet elegant garment rack adaptable to any design setting.
