single original and largely intact c. 1920's american made antique industrial heavy cast bronze "up" and "down" factory elevator car call push button backplate likely designed and fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york city, ny. the nicely aged flush mount backplate was originally mounted on each floor of the factory next to the elevator doors. the backplate contains two screw holes for mounting against the wall. the original push buttons and other mechanical components were removed long ago. only one backplate available. measures 2 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 1/2 inches.
