nicely aged original and intact ornamental wrought and cast brass interior residential combination gasolier and electrolier possibly fabricated by r. williamson & company, chicago, ills. the wall-mount fixture contains a mica-insulated shell socket with paddle or key on/off switch. the gasolier contains an ornamental flame finial. the patinated brass wall sconce retains the original tapered and turned canopy that mounts flush against the wall. the socket is fully functional. the original decorative glass shade and fitter were removed or broken long ago. the antique american sconce was salvaged from a chicago residence constructed in 1909. measures 4 1/2 x 7 x 8 1/2 inches.
