19th century antique american victorian era solid cast bronze surface mount exterior residential push button doorbell cover salvaged from a chicago residence demolished long ago. the exact fabricator is not known. the early electric doorbell cover plate features intricately designed segmented floral motifs surrounding the recessed center containing the opening for the actual button. all original naturally aged surface patina. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
