antique american fanciful cast brass metal exterior residential doorknob escutcheon fabricated by the trenton lock & hardware co., trenton, nj. the rectangular-shaped entrance door backplate features two distinct keyholes (swinging keyhole cover missing) and four screw holes for mounting purposes. the protruding thimble is original and intact. mostly uniform surface patina. measures 7 x 2 inches.
