c. 1930's vintage american industrial solid cast iron four-legged table base designed and fabricated by the n. a. strand company, chicago, il. the single-cast metal pattern machine table base was salvaged from a stamp and die works located in chicago. the stationary factory machine base has been brushed down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. the square-shaped steel floor pates provide added support and stability. the top deck was made specifically for the pattern machine (removed long ago). measures 30 x 27 x 28 inches.
