all original and hard to find early 20th century single pendant light salvaged from a milwaukee train yard factory complex. the pendant fixture contains a large opalescent glass fluted shade with original chain and canopy. the patented "phenixlite" was manufactured by the phoenix glass co. the unique screwless and ventilated socket fitter with matching chain and canopy was manufactured by the plume & atwood manufacturing co. the plume & atwood manufacturing co. was first organized in 1869, but didn't incorporate under that name until 1880. plume & atwood produced a full line lamps and lamp "trimmings." founding member and inventor lewis j. atwood, was issued over 50 patents between 1871 and 1912. the shade is free from cracks or breaks. 11 inch diameter. 34 inches from ceiling to bottom
