original and intact c. 1880's solid birch wood eastlake style interior residential salvaged chicago fireplace mantel

original late 1880's antique american eastlake style interior residential solid birch wood half-mantel designed and fabricated by or for the bruschke furniture company, chicago, ills. the salvaged chicago fireplace mantel is accentuated with bullseyes and contains four brackets to support the mantel shelf. the old crazed red paint finish can be stripped to reveal the birch wood. the mantel is structurally sound and stable.
